Legalisation
The High Commission of the Gabonese Republic to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is concurrently accredited to Sweden, Denmark, Norway, the Republic of Ireland and Finland. In that respect, the High Commission is competent in dealing with any application for document legalisation from these countries.
FOR INDIVIDUALS
Requirements:
- A cover letter, addressed to the high commissioner, providing the reason of submission
- A completed and signed “Document Legalisation Request Form”
- The original document to be legalised with its copy
- A photo ID is required:
- For Gabonese citizens: Passport, Consular Card, National Identity Card or Driving licence
- For non-nationals: Passport
- A proof of address in your country of residence no older than 3 months : Copy of utility bill (electricity, gas, etc…),
Council Tax etc..

- Free for Gabonese nationals
- £70.00 per legalised document (non-nationals)
N.B: For Power of Attorney, please provide a photo ID (Identification Document) of the authorised representative.

If the applicant wishes to receive the legalisation by post:
- For applicant residing in the UK: a prepaid self-addressed envelope (Royal Mail Special Delivery) is required.
- For applicant residing outside of the UK (only accredited countries): please arrange postal service with an International Courier Company (UPS, DHL, Parcelforce, etc…)
Application Processing time: Five (5) working days.
Opening Days: Monday to Friday
Lodging/collection 10:00 am – 11:30am (no appointment needed)
Please Note: Any uncompleted application will automatically be rejected.
FOR COMPANIES
Requirements:
- A Cover letter, addressed to the high commissioner, providing the reason of submission
- A completed and signed “Document Legalisation Request Form”
- The Original document to be legalised with its copy
- For Power of Attorney, please provide a photo ID (Identification Document) of the authorised
- Administrative fees: (cash only)
- Free for Gabonese nationals
- £70.00 per legalised document (non-nationals)
