HOW TO APPLY FOR A VISA
Apply for visas by completing an application form and submitting it to the Gabonese High Commission in person or by post.

The High Commission of the Gabonese Republic to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is concurrently accredited to Sweden, Denmark, Norway, the Republic of Ireland and Finland. In that respect, the High Commission is competent in dealing with any visa application from these countries.

Requirements:

1. A passport/travel document which must be valid for another six months from the date you arrive in Gabon and its copy.
2. A proof of immigration status:
   • For non-British nationals residing in the UK (Resident Permit, Settled Status, and visa etc…)
   • For non- Swedish nationals residing in Sweden
   • For non-Danish nationals residing in Denmark
   • For non-Irish nationals residing in the Republic of Ireland
   • For non-Finnish nationals residing in Finland
   • For non-Norwegian nationals residing in Norway
3. Two (2) current passport-sized photos (in colour)
4. A visa application form duly completed
5. A proof of accommodation in Gabon:
   • Hotel reservation confirmation letter (booked and paid)
6. A Copy of the travel itinerary from the tour operator (if applicable).
7. A proof of activity in the UK and accredited countries:
   • Workers: Employment Certificate/Letter, signed by the Employer (including position, start of employment, salary, etc…);
   • Self-employed: Copy of the last two-month payslips and a copy of the Company Registration Certificate of the company based in the UK (for business owner).
   • Students: Official letter from the school, college, university, or proof of enrolment for the entire upcoming school year.
   • Retired: Pension or benefit letter or pension certificate

8. A copy (in colour) of a valid yellow fever vaccination Certificate
9. A proof  of  sufficient  funds  to  cover  the  costs  of  stay  in  Gabon:
   (copy  of  the  latest two bank statements)
10. A proof of address no older than 3 months in your country of residence.
    Acceptable proof of address:
    Copy of a utility bill (electricity, gas etc.), Council Tax, bank statement and others
11. A proof of travel: a confirmed return flight ticket to Gabon

If the applicant wishes to receive the passport by post:

• For applicant residing in the UK: a prepaid self-addressed envelope (Royal Mail Special Delivery) is required
• For applicant residing outside of the UK (only accredited countries): please arrange postal service with an International Courier Company (UPS, DHL, Parcelforce, etc…)

VISA FEES (Non-refundable regardless of the decision of the application)

NB: Service Express for an additional £50. The Decision is made within 24 hours.

PLEASE NOTE, THE HIGH COMMISSION MAY REQUEST ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTATION, IF DEEMED NECESSARY. THE APPLICANT IS ALSO INFORMED THAT SUBMITTING ALL THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION DOES NOT GUARANTEE THE ISSUANCE OF ANY PARTICULAR VISA.
